With apologies to Star Trek, our organizations are about to go where no one has gone before. As we face unprecedented change in the legal industry, our next generation of professionals will be leading us into the future (if they aren't already). In this session, we’ll think about the leadership skills our next-gen leaders must possess to nimbly lead our multigenerational, distributed organizations through these disruptive times. We'll also explore ways to teach the skills next-gen leaders need next.

Matt Homann

Enjoy lunch and networking with peers.

A panel of legal organization leaders will share ideas on how you can be a leader by taking advantage of change and innovation. They will focus on things you can do right now in your organization to put you on the leadership path.

Every job involves giving and receiving constructive feedback. We engage in feedback down, up and across, but are our methods the same regardless of our audience? They probably are, and definitely should not. Join our panel as we discuss the complexities and subtleties of communicating feedback across roles, generations, cultures and genders. We will explore when and how to tweak our methods and messages to suite the audience. Be prepared to participate! We promise not to criticize. :-)

Join us for an interactive panel discussion with ILTA members who will share successes and challenges with current programs in their firms, what changes they are making, and how ILTA’s peer support/mentorship program is being developed to assist.
